Quest Blood Work

Dr. Toth will be electronically submitting your blood work order to Quest Diagnostics. To schedule an appointment at your Quest location of choice, visit www.appointments.questdiagnostics.com/. When asked "Reason for Visiting," select "All Other Tests"

Note:  During your phlebotomy appointment, the phlebotomist may collect a larger volume of blood than usual. This is because your lab panel is comprehensive and provides essential information about your overall health and possible imbalances.

What to Bring to Your Blood Work Appointment:

• Identification Card (ID)

• Payment Information

• Insurance Card

Preparation for bloodwork

2-3 Days Before:

• Discontinue biotin supplementation (if applicable).
  

1 Day Before

• Minimize alcohol and caffeine intake

• Begin hydrating well
  

8 Hours Before

• Begin fasting. For example, if your blood draw is scheduled for 8:00 AM, plan to have your last balanced meal (including protein, carbs, and healthy fats) no later than 12:00AM

• Continue hydrating with water only
  

Day of Appointment

• Avoid caffeine and very strenuous physical activity

• Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy access to your arms

• Bring a snack to eat after your blood draw

• 30 minutes prior: Avoid smoking (if applicable)

Specialty Lab Tests

If Dr. Toth ordered you any specialty lab tests (breath, stool, saliva, urine, etc.), check your inbox for an email confirming this along with an invoice for the test(s). Your specialty test kit(s) will be shipped to the address you entered in your IFM Intake Questionnaire prior to your New Patient Intake appointment and will be charged to the credit/debit/HSA/FSA card that you enter when you receive your invoice through Practice Better. Once you've paid for your test(s), the test kit(s) will be drop-shipped to you.

Instructions for how to perform your particular specialty test are included inside the test kit. Please read the instructions thoroughly prior to performing your test. If after reading the test instructions you still have questions about how to perform the test, message Dr. Toth via your Practice Better portal for further clarification.

If you miss an appointment or cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, you will incur a $50 fee charged to your payment method on file.
